After taking a series of photos on La. 1 during the early evening, I decided to wait for the sun to set, and tweak the color balance a bit to produce a cool, blue tone. The Courier needed a straightforward photo of a structure, and in these situations, I like to use color to express a mood.
In this situation, the La. 1 commission had just been denied federal funding to expand the elevated highway from Port Fourchon further north.
